National Restaurant Association appoints new executive leaders

The National Restaurant Association has announced the appointment of Karl Dahlgren as Chief Product Officer (CPO) and Judy Mulcahy as Chief Operating Officer (COO). In his role, Dahlgren will lead the strategy, development, and management of ServSafe and other products. Mulcahy will manage day-to-day operations to align with the Association's strategic goals.

“Karl’s and Judy’s leadership will complement the important work underway across the organization to position the Association for continued relevancy,” stated Michelle Korsmo, president & CEO of the National Restaurant Association. She emphasized their focus on supporting America's restaurants through various programs and services.

Dahlgren brings over 30 years of experience in sectors such as banking, technology, nonprofit, and training. His previous roles include Executive Vice President at the National Safety Council. “I am honored to join the National Restaurant Association at such an important time in the industry,” he expressed.

Mulcahy has over 25 years of experience in association leadership and other fields. Her recent position was COO for the Alliance for Automotive Innovation. “I know the power that food has to bring people together," she remarked about her new role.
