Secretary Bessent highlighted the operationalization of the U.S.-Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund as a key point in their talks. He noted the importance of maintaining positive momentum in U.S.-Ukraine engagements regarding this partnership.
Furthermore, Secretary Bessent reiterated the United States' commitment to preventing those who financed or supplied Russia's military efforts from benefiting from Ukraine's reconstruction. This includes exclusion from projects supported by resources from the Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund.
