Camerican International, Inc., based in Paramus, NJ, has announced a recall of 7.05 oz boxes of Aldi Brand Casa Mamita Churro Bites Filled with Chocolate Hazelnut Cream due to the presence of undeclared milk. This poses a risk for individuals with milk allergies or severe sensitivities who could experience serious or life-threatening reactions if they consume the product.
The affected churro bites were distributed in select Aldi retail stores across several states including Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. The product is packaged in a cardboard box marked with a "BEST IF USED BY DATE" of July 14th, 2025 and Lot Number 01425.
To date, no illnesses have been reported related to this issue. The recall was initiated after a consumer identified that the packaging did not disclose the presence of milk. A subsequent investigation revealed that the problem stemmed from a temporary breakdown in production and packaging processes at Camerican International which has since been rectified.
Consumers who purchased these products are advised to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. For further inquiries or concerns regarding this recall, consumers can contact Camerican International at 1-201-587-0101 during business hours Monday through Friday or via email at fsqaincidents@camerican.com.
