United States Attorney Alison J. Ramsdell has announced that a Mexican national, Anselmo Flores-Nava, has been sentenced for illegal reentry after deportation. The sentence was delivered by U.S. District Judge Camela C. Theeler on June 2, 2025.

Flores-Nava, aged 35, received a sentence of time served, totaling approximately four months in custody. Previously deported from the United States to Mexico in 2016, Flores-Nava was discovered back in the country in January 2025. His return constitutes a federal felony offense.

The case was investigated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Immigration and Customs Enforcement and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Benjamin Patterson.

Following his sentencing, Flores-Nava was placed under the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service pending removal proceedings.
