Boozman supports Vaden's confirmation as USDA deputy secretary

U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry Chairman John Boozman expressed his approval following the Senate's confirmation of Judge Stephen Vaden as Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

"I’m pleased the Senate confirmed Judge Vaden to be USDA Deputy Secretary. He is a dedicated public servant and is well-prepared to continue his service in this new role. His knowledge of agriculture policy and the needs of America’s farm communities will be valuable as a leader at the department. I congratulate him and look forward to working together to help our hardworking farmers, ranchers and producers succeed," stated Boozman.

Before the vote, Chairman Boozman addressed his colleagues on the floor, urging them to confirm Judge Vaden. The committee had previously held a hearing on April 8 regarding Vaden's nomination, which was then advanced to the Senate floor on May 5.
