The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has released video footage showing the arrest of Christian Damian Cerna-Camacho, a U.S. citizen accused of assaulting a federal law enforcement officer during the riots in Los Angeles, California. According to DHS, Cerna-Camacho attempted to flee when officers moved in to make the arrest.

Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin stated, "Homeland Security Investigations arrested Christian Damian Cerna-Camacho for punching a federal law enforcement officer." She highlighted the challenges faced by officers who are experiencing a significant increase in assaults while performing their duties. "Secretary Noem’s message to the LA rioters is clear: you will not stop us or slow us down," McLaughlin added. The statement emphasized that any attack on law enforcement personnel would be met with full legal consequences.

In related developments, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) apprehended Emiliano Garduno-Galvez, an undocumented immigrant from Mexico, for attempted murder after he allegedly threw a Molotov cocktail at law enforcement during the same riots.

Additionally, the Federal Bureau of Investigation has announced a $50,000 reward for information leading to the capture of Elpidio Reyna. Reyna is wanted for allegedly attacking federal officers with rocks and explosives. Authorities urge anyone with information about Reyna's whereabouts to contact them via 1-800-CALL-FBI or through their online tip portal.
