David X. Sullivan, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, and James Ferguson, Special Agent in Charge of the ATF Boston Field Division, announced that a federal grand jury in Bridgeport has indicted Timeek Heath, 41, from Waterbury. The charges against Heath include drug and firearm offenses.

The indictment was issued on June 4, 2025. Heath appeared in Hartford federal court today where he pleaded not guilty to the charges. He is detained pending a detention hearing scheduled for June 17.

According to the indictment, Heath allegedly distributed fentanyl on two occasions in August and September 2024. Additionally, on September 5, 2024, he reportedly sold a Glock Model 23 .40 caliber pistol to an individual he knew was a convicted felon.

Further allegations state that Heath's criminal history includes felony convictions for manslaughter and larceny offenses. Federal law prohibits individuals with felony convictions from possessing firearms or ammunition that have moved in interstate or foreign commerce.

Heath faces multiple charges: two counts of possession with intent to distribute and distribution of fentanyl—each carrying a maximum imprisonment term of 20 years; one count of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon; one count of sale of a firearm by a prohibited person; and one count of firearms trafficking—each carrying up to 15 years imprisonment.

U.S. Attorney Sullivan emphasized that an indictment is not evidence of guilt and that charges are only allegations. A defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is investigating this matter while Assistant U.S. Attorney Nathaniel J. Gentile prosecutes the case.

This case falls under Operation Take Back America—a nationwide initiative utilizing resources from the Department of Justice to combat illegal immigration, eliminate cartels and transnational criminal organizations (TCOs), and protect communities from violent crime perpetrators. It aligns efforts from the Department’s Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) and Project Safe Neighborhood (PSN).
