Robert J. "Bob" Troester U.S. Attorney | U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Oklahoma
Gustavo Gordillo, a 42-year-old Guatemalan national, has entered a guilty plea for the production of child pornography, as confirmed by U.S. Attorney Robert J. Troester in Oklahoma City.
A federal Grand Jury had indicted Gordillo on February 20, 2025, on four counts: production, transportation, distribution, and possession of child pornography. The case stemmed from a cyber tip received by the Oklahoma City Police Department (OCPD) in July 2020 regarding files containing child sexual abuse material uploaded to a Google Photos account. Investigations revealed that the uploader was Gordillo, who resided in Oklahoma City.
Further investigation indicated that Gordillo had communicated with a child living outside the state and exchanged child sexual abuse material with them. This led law enforcement to a residence linked to Gordillo in the Oklahoma City metro area where he was arrested on January 29, 2025, by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and OCPD.
The affidavit also noted that Gordillo had previously entered the United States on a temporary visa which had since expired.
On June 12, 2025, Gordillo admitted guilt to Count 1 of the Indictment and acknowledged using a child for producing sexually explicit content. He now faces between 15 and 30 years in federal prison and could be fined up to $250,000 upon sentencing.
The investigation was conducted by HSI and OCPD with Assistant U.S. Attorney Tiffany Edgmon handling prosecution duties.
This case is part of Operation Take Back America, an initiative aimed at combating illegal immigration and transnational criminal organizations while protecting communities from violent crime perpetrators.
