Vitamin B12 gummies recalled over potential peanut allergen risk

ORGANIZATIONS IN THIS STORY

Vita Warehouse Corp. has announced a voluntary recall of specific Vitamin B12 gummy products due to the potential presence of undeclared peanuts. The recall affects one lot each of Welby brand Vitamin B12 Energy Support gummies, Berkley Jensen Vitamin B12 gummies, and VitaGlobe Vitamin B12 Extra Strength gummies. This action comes as a precautionary measure for individuals with peanut allergies who may face serious health risks if they consume these products.

The affected products were distributed nationwide at ALDI and BJ’s retail stores, as well as online through various platforms including ALDI's website, BJ's website, VitaGlobe's site, and Amazon. The recalled items include:

- Aldi Welby: UPC Code 4099100290868

- Berkley Jensen: UPC Code 888670132487

- VitaGlobe: UPC Code 850005214670

All affected products share the same lot number (248046601) and expiration date (October 2026), which are printed on the bottom of each bottle.

No illnesses or allergic reactions have been reported so far. The recall was initiated after routine testing by ALDI suggested a possible presence of peanuts despite internal tests by Vita Warehouse Corp. showing no trace of the allergen. The company is taking this step to ensure consumer safety.

Vita Warehouse Corp emphasizes that no other products under the Welby, Berkley Jensen, or VitaGlobe brands are impacted by this recall. Consumers who have purchased these items with the specified lot code and expiration date should return them for a full refund or dispose of them immediately. In case of an allergic reaction, medical attention should be sought promptly.

Questions can be directed to Vita Warehouse Corp.'s customer service at 1-855-214-0100 during business hours from Monday to Friday.

This recall is being conducted with oversight from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
