Federal authorities have charged 21 individuals in connection with a drug trafficking organization based in Indianapolis. The group, allegedly led by Eric Robinson, is accused of distributing controlled substances across Indianapolis and Phoenix, Arizona.

On June 13, 2025, law enforcement agencies executed search and arrest warrants at 21 locations in both cities. This operation resulted in the arrest of 19 people and the seizure of various illegal items including approximately 56 firearms, $12,000 in cash, and significant quantities of methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl, heroin, crack cocaine, and hallucinogenic mushrooms.

The defendants face charges related to conspiracy to distribute controlled substances. Among those charged are Eric L. Robinson (55), Jonhy Chacon-Hernandez (28), Genaro Tapia (25), Monte D. Scruggs (44), Joshua P. Sheehy (32), Heather A. Hill (40), Richard N. Irwin II (39), William Cox (54), Michael P Brandenburg (35), Eliud Chavez-Delgado (45), Theodore Sweat (67), Andrea Clayton (36), Jeremiha Dailey (46), Aaron Mooney (37), Hirohito Causeway (61), Michael Graham (61), Lawrence Davis (50), Timothy Barnes (51) and Cory J. According to the indictment, Robinson was responsible for acquiring drugs from suppliers in Texas and Arizona as well as local sources in Indianapolis before redistributing them within the city.

The investigation involved collaboration among several agencies including the Drug Enforcement Administration, Internal Revenue Service, Indianapolis Metropolitan Drug Task Force among others.

Acting U.S. Attorney John E. Childress expressed gratitude towards Assistant U.S. Attorneys Bradley A. Blackington and Matt Barloh for their role in prosecuting the case.

This effort is part of Operation Take Back America which aims to streamline resources from organized crime task forces under the Indiana High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas program.

Authorities emphasize that an indictment or criminal complaint consists only of allegations; all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in court.
