A Bath man, Noah Sibole-Little, has entered a guilty plea in the U.S. District Court in Portland for being a felon in possession of firearms. The plea follows an incident from October 2024 when the Bath Police Department received reports that Sibole-Little had allegedly threatened someone with a firearm at a residence.

According to court records, officers from both the Bath Police Department and Sagadahoc County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene. They observed Sibole-Little leaving the residence with a backpack, which he then discarded over a fence. Upon inspection, authorities found three firearms inside: two 9mm pistols and one .380 caliber pistol. Sibole-Little's previous convictions for robbery and aggravated assault in 2016 in Cumberland County prohibited him from possessing any firearms.

Sibole-Little now faces significant legal consequences, including up to 15 years in prison, fines reaching $250,000, and up to three years of supervised release. His sentencing will follow the completion of a presentence investigative report by the U.S. Probation Office. The final sentence will be determined by a federal district court judge based on the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives led the investigation with assistance from local law enforcement agencies.

This case falls under Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), an initiative aimed at reducing violent crime and gun violence through collaborative efforts between law enforcement agencies and communities. The program emphasizes building trust within communities, supporting violence prevention organizations, setting strategic enforcement priorities, and measuring outcomes.
