U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has announced a Global Entry enrollment event in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The event will take place at the Direccion General de Aduanas from June 24 to June 26, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. each day.
Interested applicants who have been conditionally approved are advised to schedule their interviews on the Official Trusted Traveler Program Website managed by the Department of Homeland Security. The website is currently open for bookings.
The Global Entry program facilitates expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers arriving in the United States. Members of this program use designated lanes at airports where processing technology captures their photo for verification purposes. After capturing the photo, members follow on-screen instructions before meeting with a CBP officer to complete the process.
Applicants must undergo rigorous background checks and an in-person interview before being enrolled in Global Entry. Any breach of the program’s terms can lead to enforcement actions and termination of membership privileges.
For more information or inquiries, individuals can reach out via email to alexis.j.cordero@cbp.dhs.gov or luz.h.delgado@cbp.dhs.gov.
CBP describes itself as "America's frontline," being the largest law enforcement organization in the nation and pioneering unified border management globally. The agency employs over 65,000 personnel dedicated to protecting America through land, air, and sea operations while facilitating lawful travel and trade.
