Weaver Nut Company, Inc. has initiated a recall of specific chocolate products due to the potential presence of undeclared milk allergens. The recall targets particular lot codes of chocolate nonpareils, posing a risk for individuals with milk allergies.
The affected items include semi-sweet chocolate nonpareils under the item numbers 47518 and D2645. These are identified by specific lot numbers such as 204206, 204207, and others listed in the company's notice. No illnesses have been reported so far.
These products were distributed across various retail and grocery outlets throughout the United States. The issue was identified following a complaint from a wholesale customer, leading to lab tests that confirmed the presence of milk.
Consumers who purchased these items and have a milk allergy are advised not to consume them. They can either discard the product or return it for a full refund at the point of purchase.
