Alison J. Ramsdell U.S. Attorney | U.S. Attorney for the District of South Dakota
A man from Mitchell, South Dakota, has been sentenced to 23 years in federal prison for his role in a methamphetamine distribution conspiracy in the Rapid City area. The sentencing of Cory Linderman, 43, was announced by United States Attorney Alison J. Ramsdell and took place on May 30, 2025.
Linderman's sentence includes five years of supervised release and a $100 special assessment to the Federal Crime Victims Fund. He was indicted by a federal grand jury in July 2023 and pleaded guilty on March 5, 2025.
The conspiracy involved trafficking approximately 100 pounds of methamphetamine from California to Rapid City between 2021 and 2023. Julian Fuentes led the group that coordinated these shipments. Linderman distributed around 40-50 pounds of methamphetamine as part of this operation.
Other members of the group have also received significant sentences: Julian Fuentes was sentenced to 20 years; Daniel Bradshaw received a sentence of 14 years; Travis Orr was sentenced to nearly two decades; Alisa See got over two decades; and Reynaldo Garcia-Gonzalez received more than two decades.
The Unified Narcotics Enforcement Team (UNET), which includes several law enforcement agencies from South Dakota, investigated the case. Assistant U.S. Attorney Mark Hodges prosecuted it.
Linderman is now in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.
