Edmund Omar Johnson, also known as "Chicago" and "Polo," has been sentenced to eight years in prison for distributing methamphetamine. Following his prison term, he will undergo three years of supervised release. The 45-year-old from Chicago, Illinois, was convicted for selling approximately 865 grams of methamphetamine to a confidential informant on June 30, 2024, at a residence in Huntington.

Johnson admitted to both the transaction and arranging it with the informant beforehand. The case was announced by Acting United States Attorney Lisa G. Johnston, who praised the investigative efforts of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Cabell County Sheriff's Office.

The sentence was handed down by United States District Judge Robert C. Chambers. The prosecution was led by Assistant United States Attorneys Courtney L. Finney and Joseph F. Adams.
