Gloucester County man convicted for distributing drugs faces sentencing

A Gloucester County man has been convicted for distributing methamphetamine and fentanyl, as announced by U.S. Attorney Alina Habba. Ian Dudley, aged 39, from Williamstown, New Jersey, was found guilty by a jury on June 11, 2025. The charges included conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine and six counts of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and/or fentanyl.

The conviction was made in Camden federal court before U.S. District Judge Christine P. O’Hearn. Sentencing is set for October 22, 2025.

Evidence presented during the trial showed that from June through October 2023, Dudley conspired with Joseph Watson and others to distribute crystal methamphetamine and fentanyl in Camden County and Gloucester County. During this period, Dudley sold approximately 17.5 pounds of crystal methamphetamine and about one ounce of fentanyl to an undercover federal agent.

The conspiracy charge related to the distribution of methamphetamine carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison along with a $1 million fine. Four other counts related to the distribution of methamphetamine or fentanyl carry a mandatory minimum sentence of ten years in prison up to life imprisonment.

U.S. Attorney Habba credited special agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), under L.C. Cheeks Jr., for their role in the investigation.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Joseph McFarlane and Josephine Park in Camden.
