An individual previously convicted of murder has been sentenced to 69 months in federal prison for illegally reentering the United States. This announcement was made by Nancy E. Larson, Acting United States Attorney for the Northern District of Texas.
Francisco Alan Martinez Camara, a 36-year-old from Mexico, admitted guilt in March 2025 to reentering the U.S. after deportation. Court documents indicate this is his second conviction for illegal reentry. His first conviction occurred in March 2022 in the Western District of Texas, resulting in a six-month federal prison sentence. In April 2013, Martinez Camara pleaded guilty to murder in Webb County, Texas. After serving his sentence, he was deported in 2016.
On June 16, Chief District Judge David C. Godbey sentenced Martinez Camara to 69 months for his second illegal reentry offense. During sentencing, Judge Godbey warned that penalties could increase if Martinez Camara reenters the U.S. unlawfully again.
The investigation was conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Marissa Aulbaugh prosecuting the case.
