Leah B. Foley United States Attorney for the District of Massachusetts | Department of Justice
A Haverhill man has been sentenced to over three years in prison for trafficking cocaine and illegal firearms. Cordell Miller, aged 29, received a sentence of 42 months from U.S. Senior District Court Judge William G. Young, with an additional three years of supervised release. In February 2025, Miller pleaded guilty to charges including distribution and possession with intent to distribute cocaine and firearms trafficking conspiracy.
Miller's arrest in November 2023 was part of a larger operation that included co-conspirators Malcolm Desir and Alan Robinson. He was identified as a key figure in the sale of drugs and firearms in the Boston area. Notably, Miller arranged sales involving cocaine and multiple firearms, including an AR-15 "ghost gun" rifle.
Alan Robinson received a ten-year prison sentence in April 2025, while Malcolm Desir was sentenced on June 18, 2025, to seven years in prison with an additional year under home detention followed by supervised release.
The announcement came from United States Attorney Leah B. Foley alongside Scott Riordan from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives' Boston Division and Boston Police Commissioner Michael Cox. The Suffolk County Sheriff's Department provided assistance during the investigation led by Assistant U.S. Attorney Luke A. Goldworm.
