A resident of South Pittsburg, Tennessee, has pleaded guilty to charges related to the sexual exploitation of a minor in federal court. Acting United States Attorney Troy Rivetti announced that Terron Slatton, 26, admitted guilt before Senior United States District Judge Arthur J. Schwab.
Slatton was charged with coercion and enticement of a minor. The court was informed that between December 24 and December 25, 2022, Slatton used the internet to induce a minor in Western Pennsylvania to create visual depictions of sexual activity. Additionally, he discussed plans to meet the minor for sex.
Judge Schwab set Slatton’s sentencing for November 18, 2025. The law allows for a sentence ranging from a minimum of 10 years to life imprisonment and fines up to $250,000. The final sentence will consider the severity of the offense and any prior criminal history.
Assistant United States Attorney V. Joseph Sonson is leading the prosecution. The investigation was conducted by Homeland Security Investigations–Pittsburgh and the Pennsylvania State Police.
