Kilwins Quality Confections, LLC., based in Petoskey, Michigan, has announced a voluntary recall of its Mocha Truffles due to the potential presence of undeclared pecans. The company warns that individuals with a pecan allergy or severe sensitivity could face serious health risks if they consume these truffles.

The Mocha Truffles in question were distributed by Kilwins Quality Confections and might have been available at nine retail locations across several states. These stores are located in Orange Beach, AL; Coral Springs, FL; Vero Beach, FL; Winter Park, FL; Thomasville, GA; Annapolis, MD; Portsmouth, NH; Wilmington, NC; and Alexandria, VA. Specifically for Orange Beach and Wilmington locations: 4751 Main St, Unit F113 and 16 Market St respectively.

These products were possibly sold from April 28 to May 30 of this year. Typically displayed in chocolate cases within the stores, the truffles may also be packaged into various retail packages identified by specific numbers beneath the barcode on the package's back.

"No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this product," stated Kilwins Quality Confections regarding the recall.

The issue arose when it was found that packaging did not indicate the presence of pecans despite their inclusion in the product. Consumers who purchased these items during the specified period are advised to return them to any Kilwins location for a full refund or dispose of them appropriately. For further inquiries, customers can reach out to Kilwins Quality Confections at 231-347-3800 during business hours from Monday to Friday.
