Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth announced today several key nominations made by the President for various positions within the U.S. military.
Space Force Gen. Michael A. Guetlein has been nominated for promotion to the grade of general. He is set to be assigned as direct reporting program manager for Golden Dome for America at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. Currently, he serves as vice chief of Space Operations for the U.S. Space Force at the Pentagon.
Air Force Lt. Gen. Adrian L. Spain has been nominated for promotion to general and will assume command of Air Combat Command at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia. Spain presently holds the position of deputy chief of staff, Operations at Headquarters U.S. Air Force in Washington, D.C.
Lt. Gen. Case A. Cunningham from the Air Force has been nominated for reappointment as lieutenant general and will take on duties as deputy chief of staff, Operations at Headquarters U.S. Air Force in Washington, D.C., a role he previously held before serving as commander in multiple capacities including Alaskan Command under U.S Northern Command.
Additionally, Lt. Gen John J DeGoes is up for reappointment to his current rank with an assignment as surgeon general of the Air Force and commander of Air Force Medical Command at Headquarters U.S Airforce located in Washington DC where he currently serves as surgeon general
