Jamestown man charged with making threats against federal agents

U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo has announced the arrest of Matthew White, a 43-year-old resident of Jamestown, NY. White faces charges for allegedly communicating interstate threats, a crime that could result in up to five years of imprisonment.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Evan K. Glaberson is managing the case. According to the criminal complaint, Homeland Security Investigations in Buffalo became aware on April 30, 2025, of an "X" account linked to White. This account was reportedly used to make public threats against federal immigration agents and administrators from the Department of Homeland Security.

On June 4, 2025, White voluntarily met with investigators and permitted them to access his phone's contents. The investigation revealed several threatening posts on "X," including:

- On April 18, 2025: “Kill them all, ICE is the new age gestapo, stop them.”

- On April 29, 2025: In response to a video clip shared by user “America” featuring Border Czar Tom Homan, White commented: “Then understand that if your ICE agents don’t show proof of identity and a signed warrant, we will kill them.”

- In late April 2025: Following reports on various ICE arrest operations including one in a Virginia courthouse, White posted violent comments such as: “I can’t wait to put a bullet into this guy’s brain, but first his children.”

White appeared initially before U.S. Magistrate Judge Jeremiah J. McCarthy and was released under certain conditions.

The investigation was conducted by Homeland Security Investigations under Special Agent-in-Charge Erin Keegan's direction.

It is important to note that charging someone with a crime is only an accusation; Matthew White remains presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
