Three indicted for illegal reentry into U.S., previously deported

Jason R. Coody, U.S. Attorney | U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Florida

United States Attorney John P. Heekin has announced the indictment of three individuals for illegal reentry into the United States after previous deportations. The federal grand jury's separate indictments concern Freddy Bravo Galvez, Marco Tulio Gonzalez-Oliva, and Jose Alfredo Morales-Huerta.

Freddy Bravo Galvez, a 32-year-old from Mexico, was found in Tallahassee in June 2025. He had been deported in 2013 and again in 2020. Marco Tulio Gonzalez-Oliva, aged 25 from Honduras, was located in Fort Walton Beach in March 2024 following his deportation in 2023. Jose Alfredo Morales-Huerta, a 48-year-old from Mexico, was identified in Pensacola in June 2025 after being deported in 2019.

The penalty for illegal reentry into the United States includes a maximum prison sentence of two years and a fine of up to $250,000. These cases are under investigation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Enforcement and Removal Operations, and Homeland Security Investigations. Assistant United States Attorneys Eric Mountin, Jessica Etherton, and Brooke DiSalvo are handling the prosecutions.

It is important to note that an indictment is merely an allegation and not proof of guilt. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt during their trial.

These cases fall under Operation Take Back America, which aims to combat illegal immigration and transnational criminal organizations while protecting communities from violent crime perpetrators. This initiative involves resources from the Department of Justice’s Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces and Project Safe Neighborhoods.

The United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Florida is one of the country's primary litigation offices under the Attorney General's direction.
