Kishaun Andre Jones, a 25-year-old resident of Beckley, has been sentenced to four months in prison followed by three years of supervised release for escaping from a federal reentry facility. The sentence was handed down after Jones walked away from Dismas Charities Inc., a Bureau of Prisons residential reentry facility located in St. Albans, on August 2, 2024.
Jones had been confined at the facility due to his conviction for methamphetamine distribution in the United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia on February 23, 2023. He was recaptured by law enforcement in Greenbrier County on January 14, 2025.
The announcement was made by Acting United States Attorney Lisa G. Johnston, who praised the investigative efforts of the United States Marshals Service and the Greenbrier County Sheriff's Office.
Chief United States District Judge Frank W. Volk imposed the sentence, with Assistant United States Attorney D. Keith Randolph prosecuting the case.
