Sheehan Brothers Vending has issued a voluntary recall of several food products due to an undeclared sesame allergen. The recall affects Cheeseburgers, Spicy Chicken Sandwiches, Italian Mini Subs, Pepperoni Pizza Subs, Chili Cheese Coney, and BBQ Riblet with coleslaw. These items were sold between July 2 and July 8, 2025, in Ohio, Northern Kentucky, and Eastern Indiana through Micro Markets and vending machines.
The issue was identified during a routine inspection by the Ohio Department of Agriculture. No illnesses have been reported related to this recall. However, those with a sesame allergy or sensitivity could face serious health risks if they consume these products.
Consumers who have purchased the affected items are advised to dispose of them and contact Sheehan Brothers Vending for a replacement pack. For further inquiries about the recall, consumers can reach out to Matt Ryan at 937-325-2357.
"When a Government Agency Partner announces a company’s recall, market withdrawal, or safety alert," stated the FDA in their announcement of the recall as a public service notice.
