US welcomes return of ten Americans detained in Venezuela

The United States has welcomed the return of ten Americans who were detained in Venezuela, marking a significant development attributed to President Trump's leadership. The individuals had been held under questionable circumstances and without proper due process. "Every wrongfully detained American in Venezuela is now free and back in our homeland," stated the announcement.

The release was facilitated by efforts from the U.S. State Department, interagency partners, and notably El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele. The commitment to ensuring the safety of U.S. nationals both domestically and internationally remains a priority for the administration.

In addition to the American detainees, Venezuelan political prisoners have also been released. The Trump Administration expressed support for democratic restoration in Venezuela and condemned the regime's use of detention as a means of political repression. There is an ongoing call for the unconditional release of remaining unjustly detained individuals.
