Tomasini is the third close associate of President Biden to invoke the Fifth Amendment during this inquiry, following Dr. Kevin O’Connor and Anthony Bernal.
During her deposition, Ms. Tomasini exercised her right against self-incrimination in response to all questions posed. These included inquiries about whether Joe Biden, his family members, or White House officials instructed her to misrepresent his health status; if she advised the President on handling classified documents found in his garage; if there were instructions from the President or White House staff to conceal or destroy classified materials at his home or office; and whether she conspired with others in the White House regarding information about the Biden family's business dealings.
