The former leader of the Lynn Chapter of the Trinitarios gang, Aaron Diaz Liranzo, also known as Sosa, was sentenced to 14 years in prison. The sentence was handed down in Boston federal court on July 16 following an investigation by ICE’s Homeland Security Investigations New England field office. In addition to his prison term, Diaz Liranzo will serve three years of supervised release.

In March 2025, Diaz Liranzo pleaded guilty to RICO conspiracy charges. He had been arrested and charged in February 2025 while serving as the leader of the Lynn Chapter of the Trinitarios. "Homeland Security Investigations New England Special Agent in Charge Michael J. Krol, U.S. Attorney Leah B. Foley, FBI Boston Special Agent in Charge Ted E. Docks, Essex County District Attorney Paul F. Tucker, Massachusetts State Police Col. Geoffrey D. Noble and Lynn Police Chief Christopher P. Redd made the announcement."

The Trinitarios is described as a violent criminal enterprise with thousands of members across the United States who follow a Magna Carta and maintain an internal hierarchy for organizing violence while keeping their operations secretive.

Federal racketeering charges were unsealed against 22 leaders and members of the Trinitarios in February 2025 after a multijurisdictional investigation that followed several murders and attempted murders linked to the group in the Lynn area.

Diaz Liranzo served as “Primera,” or “Number One,” of his chapter from at least 2021 through 2025. He admitted involvement in a March 2019 shooting targeting rival gang members outside a nightclub in Lynn where he fired at least six rounds into a car carrying three victims.

"The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of New Hampshire, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the Suffolk District Attorney’s Office, the Rockingham County District Attorney’s Office and the Andover, Boston, Lawrence, Peabody and Salem Police Departments provided valuable assistance."

It is important to note that all details contained within charging documents are allegations until proven otherwise beyond reasonable doubt.
