Secretary of State Marco Rubio held a meeting with Jordan's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi. The discussions focused on the trilateral agreement between the United States, Jordan, and Syria aimed at maintaining the ceasefire in Syria.
According to Spokesperson Tammy Bruce, Secretary Rubio emphasized the importance of dialogue to address the ongoing crisis in southern Syria and highlighted the need to protect civilians on all sides. The conversation also covered security issues in Gaza and the West Bank.
Secretary Rubio expressed gratitude towards Foreign Minister Safadi for Jordan's leadership in promoting regional security and stability.
