The America First Policy Institute (AFPI) has expressed strong support for the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBB), which was signed into law on July 4th. The AFPI's policy experts have released an analysis of the bill, highlighting its impact on various sectors such as border security, economy and trade, energy, education, agriculture, and family preservation.
Jill Homan, Deputy Director of Economy & Trade at AFPI, said that the OBBB represents "the largest tax cut and pro-business legislation in American history." She emphasized that it extends income tax relief from the Tax Cut and Jobs Act and offers additional benefits to middle-class Americans and small businesses.
Chad F. Wolf, Chair of Homeland Security and Immigration at AFPI, described the OBBB as "historic legislation" that fulfills promises to secure borders and enforce immigration laws. He noted that it provides funding for border security technologies and local law enforcement partnerships.
Erika Donalds, Chair of Education Opportunity at AFPI, remarked that the bill marks a significant moment in prioritizing families and local communities within the education system. She highlighted its focus on accountability and educational freedom.
Dr. Rich Rogers, Vice-Chair of the Center for American Values at AFPI, pointed out that the OBBB promotes family formation while defunding major providers of abortion services. He credited bipartisan cooperation for this legislative achievement.
Oliver McPherson-Smith, Vice-Chair of Energy & Environment at AFPI, mentioned that the bill advances U.S. energy policy by addressing supply chain risks. He expressed optimism about working with the administration to implement these reforms.
Ambassador Kip Tom, Vice-Chair of Rural Policy at AFPI, celebrated the bill as a victory for American farmers. He highlighted provisions such as eliminating death taxes and strengthening farm safety nets as crucial supports for rural communities.
