Arlington, Va – Eric Fanning, President and CEO of the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA), has expressed approval for the Senate Appropriations Committee's recent advancement of a funding bill. This legislation is set to provide financial support to several key agencies, including the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Department of Transportation (DOT).
“On-time, bipartisan appropriations are essential to maintaining U.S. leadership in aviation, driving innovation, and investing in aviation safety, air traffic control modernization, and research and development,” Fanning stated. He also extended gratitude to subcommittee Chair Hyde-Smith and Ranking Member Gillibrand, as well as Committee Chair Collins and Vice Chair Murray for their dedication to bolstering the U.S. aerospace sector through prompt appropriations.
Fanning further noted that AIA is eager to collaborate with Congress as this significant piece of legislation progresses.
