On July 18, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth met with Israel's Minister of Defense, Israel Katz. The meeting was an opportunity for Secretary Hegseth to commend the Israeli Minister on the country's performance in the recent 12-Day War and its success in Operation MIDNIGHT HAMMER.
During the discussion, Secretary Hegseth expressed admiration for Israel's proactive defense measures. He assured that the Department of Defense would continue supporting Israel's self-defense capabilities as part of President Trump's Peace Through Strength initiative.
Both leaders agreed on collaborating to tackle common threats and to work towards achieving peace in the region.
