The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has expressed approval for the Trump Administration's AI Action Plan, which aims to enhance U.S. leadership in artificial intelligence. Neil Bradley, Executive Vice President and Chief Policy Officer of the Chamber, commented on the plan's release.
"We applaud President Trump and his administration for issuing the AI Action Plan to strengthen U.S. global leadership in artificial intelligence," Bradley said. He highlighted that the plan seeks to accelerate innovation by addressing regulatory challenges, streamlining permitting processes for AI infrastructure, ensuring energy reliability and affordability, and advancing U.S. leadership in AI diplomacy.
Bradley emphasized that these actions will enable the United States to address significant challenges and lead globally in AI development by setting high standards for responsible technology deployment. "America is counting on this crucial technology to propel economic growth for all sectors, from small business to energy and health care," he said.
The Chamber has committed to collaborating with the administration to implement the plan and support a competitive and innovative AI ecosystem. It had previously submitted comments on the Action Plan to the Office of Science and Technology Policy and the National Science Foundation in March 2025.
