Holly Berenguer, 43, of Jamestown, New York, was sentenced to time served and four years of supervised release after being convicted of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute, and to distribute, 40 grams or more of fentanyl. The sentencing was announced by U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo and handed down by U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Joshua A. Violanti said that on September 5, 2021, a Jamestown Police Officer arrested Berenguer on an active bench warrant for failing to appear in Jamestown City Court. During processing, officers found a white powdery substance and $450 hidden in her clothes. The substances field tested positive for heroin and methamphetamine.
According to prosecutors, between September 2020 and September 2021, Berenguer distributed significant quantities of heroin and fentanyl in the Jamestown area as part of the conspiracy.
