Global tech trade association ITI has expressed concerns over the Trump Administration's recent tariff increases. Sean P. Murphy, ITI Executive Vice President of Policy, commented on the situation. "While President Trump has achieved interim agreements with several key trading partners, continued uncertainty due to tariffs complicates the ability of U.S. businesses, employers, workers, and consumers to plan ahead and make financial decisions that drive the U.S. economy," he said.
Murphy urged the administration to halt further tariff increases and concentrate on negotiations that restore predictability, strengthen global supply chains, and promote investments in American innovation and competitiveness. He emphasized ITI's commitment to collaborating with the administration to achieve these goals and support the President’s agenda on enhancing American manufacturing, AI leadership, and job creation.
