Leah B. Foley United States Attorney for the District of Massachusetts | Department of Justice
A woman from Dracut, Massachusetts, has pleaded guilty in federal court to leaking information from a federal grand jury to unauthorized individuals. Jessica M. Leslie, 34, admitted to one count of criminal contempt before U.S. District Court Judge Indira Talwani on Monday. Sentencing is set for September 26, 2025.
Leslie was charged earlier this month. According to court documents, between August 11, 2022 and March 4, 2024, she disclosed sealed information such as the names of witnesses who appeared before the grand jury, details about their testimony, and other evidence presented during proceedings. These disclosures violated federal rules and a standing court order.
The criminal contempt charge carries a possible sentence of any term of years in prison, up to five years of supervised release, and a fine that can reach $250,000. The actual sentence will be determined by the federal district court judge based on the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and relevant statutes.
