Georgia man indicted on child sexual exploitation charges in Alabama

A federal grand jury has indicted Adree Villanueva, 25, of Kennesaw, Georgia, on charges related to child sexual exploitation. The indictment was announced by U.S. Attorney Prim F. Escalona.

Villanueva faces three counts: coercion and enticement, traveling with the intent to engage in illicit sexual activity, and transportation of a minor. The alleged offenses took place between April and July 2025 in Madison County.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation conducted the investigation with assistance from the Huntsville Police Department. Assistant United States Attorney John M. Hundscheid is handling the prosecution.

According to officials, "The case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006 to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.  Led by U.S. Attorneys’ Offices and the Criminal Division’s Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section (CEOS), Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state, and local resources to better locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the Internet and to identify and rescue victims.  For more information about Project Safe Childhood, please visit www.projectsafechildhood.gov."

Authorities emphasized that an indictment contains only charges and that a defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
