Jesus Bracero, 29, of Bowmanstown, Pennsylvania, was sentenced to 121 months and 18 days in prison for conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute more than 500 grams of methamphetamine and over 40 grams of fentanyl. The sentence was handed down by United States District Judge Julie K. Munley on August 8, 2025.
Acting United States Attorney John Gurganus stated that Bracero and others distributed large amounts of controlled substances throughout Carbon and Lehigh Counties between January 2023 and September 2023. Investigators conducted several controlled purchases of methamphetamine from Bracero at his residence. In July 2023, a search warrant executed at Bracero’s home resulted in the seizure of controlled substances, firearms, ammunition, explosive devices, drug transaction records, and packaging materials. Authorities noted that the area where these items were found was monitored by video surveillance cameras and protected by two aggressive dogs.
The investigation involved Homeland Security Investigations and the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General. Assistant U.S. Attorney Jenny P. Roberts prosecuted the case.
“This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a program bringing together all levels of law enforcement and the communities they serve to reduce violent crime and gun violence, and to make our neighborhoods safer for everyone. On May 26, 2021, the Department launched a violent crime reduction strategy strengthening PSN based on these core principles: fostering trust and legitimacy in our communities, supporting community-based organizations that help prevent violence from occurring in the first place, setting focused and strategic enforcement priorities, and measuring the results,” according to information provided by authorities.
