A Waterbury resident was sentenced to five years in federal prison for a drug-related firearm offense, according to an announcement from David X. Sullivan, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut. Robert Harrison, also known as “Firm” and “Lox,” age 39, received his sentence from U.S. District Judge Victor A. Bolden in New Haven. In addition to the prison term, Harrison will serve three years of supervised release.
Court records show that between March and June 2024, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) New Haven Task Force and the Waterbury Police Department investigated a drug trafficking organization led by Harrison. Investigators conducted eight controlled narcotics purchases involving Harrison and his associates during this period.
On June 20, 2024, law enforcement executed federal search warrants at several locations connected to Harrison’s activities: his residence on Frost Road; an auto repair business he operated on Todd Hollow Road; and a recording studio on Woodtick Road in Waterbury. The searches resulted in the seizure of more than 370 grams of cocaine, narcotic pills, four loaded handguns, gun magazines, numerous rounds of ammunition, and approximately $18,208 in cash.
Harrison has been held since his arrest on state charges related to these offenses on June 20, 2024. He pleaded guilty in federal court on April 14, 2025, to possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
The DEA New Haven Task Force led the investigation with support from the Waterbury Police Department. The task force is made up of personnel from multiple agencies including the DEA; U.S. Marshals Service; Internal Revenue Service – Criminal Investigation Division; Connecticut State Police; and police departments from New Haven, Waterbury, East Haven, Branford, West Haven, Ansonia, Meriden, Naugatuck, and Shelton.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Natasha M. Freismuth prosecuted the case.
“This matter has been investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration New Haven Task Force and the Waterbury Police Department,” said Sullivan.
