The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is continuing its collaboration with libraries nationwide to provide free resources that help people recognize, avoid, and report scams. As part of this effort, the FTC will host a virtual office hours session for librarians on September 18, 2025.
Librarians interested in consumer protection topics or looking to develop related programming are invited to participate in the session. The event will take place at 2 p.m. Eastern Time, 1 p.m. Central Time, and 11 a.m. Pacific Time.
Participants can join the office hours online through the following link: https://ftc.zoomgov.com/j/1612580692?pwd=OhhX8ylyoxrOCgS81AgQL1ac8A6rer.1 using Meeting ID: 161 258 0692 and Passcode: 304565. Alternatively, attendees may join by phone using numbers based on their location, including lines for New York, San Jose, and a toll-free option.
The FTC's partnership with libraries aims to equip communities with information and tools to address common scams and protect consumers from fraud.
