Woodville man receives 10-year sentence for methamphetamine distribution

A Woodville, Mississippi resident has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for possessing with intent to distribute more than 50 grams of methamphetamine. Court documents state that Reginald Lionel Gilmore, 40, sold 228 grams of methamphetamine for $3,000 in Wilkinson County in January 2023.

Acting U.S. Attorney Patrick A. Lemon for the Southern District of Mississippi and Assistant Special Agent in Charge Anessa Daniels-McCaw of the Drug Enforcement Administration announced the sentencing.

The investigation was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics. The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Bert Carraway.

This prosecution is part of Operation Take Back America (https://www.justice.gov/dag/media/1393746/dl?inline), a national initiative led by the Department of Justice that aims to address illegal immigration, eliminate cartels and transnational criminal organizations, and protect communities from violent crime.
