Darrell Glenn DeVoge, a 50-year-old resident of Cedar City, Utah, has been sentenced to six years in federal prison and three years of supervised release for stealing firearms from a licensed dealer. This sentencing marks the conclusion of a case involving the theft of 75 firearms from a C-A-L Ranch store in Cedar City in November 2023.
DeVoge was the last of three defendants to be sentenced in connection with the burglary. His co-defendants include Russell Wesley Gruber, identified as the ringleader, and DeVoge’s son, Parker Darrell DeVoge. Gruber received an identical sentence of six years’ imprisonment and three years’ supervised release on July 9, 2025. Parker DeVoge was sentenced to 16 months in prison and three years’ supervised release on April 22, 2025. All three were ordered to pay $2,406.11 in restitution to C-A-L Ranch.
According to court documents and statements made during plea and sentencing hearings, Gruber, Parker DeVoge, and Darrell DeVoge broke into the C-A-L Ranch store just before midnight on November 21, 2023. The group was armed with guns supplied by Gruber that had been stolen during previous burglaries involving Gruber and Parker DeVoge. After breaking display cases inside the store, they took dozens of firearms before fleeing. Hours later on November 22, Gruber and Parker DeVoge returned for a second burglary before the store opened.
In total, authorities said the trio stole 75 firearms—including rifles, shotguns, revolvers, and pistols—as well as ammunition and firearm accessories such as red dot sights. Gruber and Darrell DeVoge stored these stolen items after they had been shipped or transported across state lines.
Acting U.S. Attorney Felice John Viti for the District of Utah announced the sentences.
