Christopher Lee Caquelin, 41, of Fort Dodge, Iowa, has been sentenced to ten years in federal prison for his role in a methamphetamine distribution conspiracy. Caquelin pleaded guilty on March 26, 2025, to one count of conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance and one count of distribution of a controlled substance.
According to information presented at the plea hearing, Caquelin admitted that between January 1, 2023, and October 31, 2024, he participated in an ongoing drug conspiracy centered in Fort Dodge. The operation involved distributing 50 grams or more of pure methamphetamine to individuals in the area.
United States District Court Judge Leonard T. Strand handed down the sentence in Sioux City. In addition to the 120-month prison term, Caquelin will serve five years of supervised release following his incarceration. There is no possibility of parole in the federal system.
