Blue Bell recalls ice cream due to undeclared tree nuts in mislabeled cartons

Blue Bell Ice Cream has announced a voluntary recall of a limited number of Moo-llennium Crunch Ice Cream half gallons due to undeclared almonds, walnuts, and pecans. The affected products were packaged in Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough cartons but had Moo-llennium Crunch lids. The recall was initiated after an employee found two half gallons with incorrect packaging while restocking at a retailer.

According to Blue Bell, no illnesses or adverse reactions have been reported so far. The company stated that no other cases of incorrect packaging have been identified.

The recalled ice cream can be recognized by the combination of the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough carton and Moo-llennium Crunch lid, along with the code 061027524 printed on the top of the lid. Distribution included retail outlets in several states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida Panhandle, Northwest Georgia, Southern Indiana, Southern Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, and Southwest Virginia.

Customers who purchased these products are advised to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
