U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced on August 27, 2025, the arrest of several individuals described as violent criminal illegal aliens with convictions for crimes such as child sex offenses, manslaughter, burglary, and fraud.

A Senior Department of Homeland Security (DHS) official commented on the arrests: “Our ICE law enforcement officers are risking their lives to arrest the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens. 70 percent of all ICE arrests are of criminal illegal aliens who have been convicted or charged with crimes in the U.S. This statistic doesn’t even include known or suspected terrorists, many foreign gang members, illegal aliens with convictions for violent crimes in other countries, or INTERPOL notices. President Trump and Secretary Noem, unleashed ICE to make America safe again.”

Among those arrested were Roberto Vaca-Flores from Mexico, who has 59 criminal arrests and 43 convictions including alien smuggling, fraud, burglary, and probation violation; Vijai Dube from Trinidad, convicted of manslaughter; Gerardo Perez-Rios from Mexico, convicted of indecency with a child/sexual contact; and Diana Carolina German-Martinez from the Dominican Republic, convicted of assault and manslaughter.

ICE stated that these arrests reflect its ongoing efforts to target individuals with serious criminal backgrounds within the United States.
