David Andrew Ogden, a 39-year-old resident of Winter Park, Florida, has pleaded guilty to five counts of production and one count of possession of child sexual abuse material (CSAM). The announcement was made by United States Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe. Each production charge carries a minimum sentence of 15 years and up to 30 years in federal prison, while the possession charge could result in up to 20 years. Ogden's sentencing is scheduled for November 13, 2025.
Court documents indicate that on September 8, 2024, Ogden unlawfully entered an apartment where three minor children were sleeping. He proceeded to touch two of the children and used his cellphone to produce CSAM involving them. Following his arrest later that night, authorities executed a search warrant on his cellphone. Investigators discovered additional CSAM created by Ogden in both 2022 and 2024 that involved two other minors. The phone also contained more than 1,000 AI-generated images and ten AI-generated videos depicting child sexual abuse; some showed victims as young as two to six years old.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Winter Park Police Department conducted the investigation. Assistant United States Attorney Megan Testerman is prosecuting the case.
