An Akron man has been sentenced to 35 years in federal prison for leading a drug trafficking operation that distributed methamphetamine, fentanyl, and other illegal substances across Northeast Ohio.

Terrance D.N. McCormick, also known as TNasty, age 41, received a sentence of 420 months from U.S. District Judge Donald C. Nugent after pleading guilty in May to several charges. These included conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine and fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition—stemming from previous convictions for aggravated burglary (2003), domestic violence (2009 and 2013), and aggravated trafficking in drugs (2018)—and possession of firearms in furtherance of a drug trafficking offense.

McCormick will also serve five years of supervised release following his imprisonment. He was ordered to forfeit $8,560 in cash, a Rolex watch, a Chevrolet Corvette, and all firearms seized by federal agents.

Court documents state that McCormick led an Akron-area organization distributing methamphetamine, fentanyl, and cocaine during 2023-2024. He admitted working with co-conspirators to supply these drugs throughout Northeast Ohio. The group used residences and commercial properties in Akron as storage and distribution sites for the controlled substances. Members reportedly possessed firearms to protect their operations.

Federal search warrants executed at McCormick’s homes in 2023 and 2024 resulted in the seizure of methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, and three loaded firearms.
