Dominican national sentenced for illegal reentry after prior deportation

A Dominican national living in Lawrence, Massachusetts, was sentenced in federal court for illegally reentering the United States after being deported. Eddy Antonio Perdomo, 31, received a sentence of time served, amounting to approximately four months in prison. He now faces deportation proceedings.

Perdomo pleaded guilty in July 2025 to one count of unlawful reentry of a deported alien. He had been indicted by a federal grand jury the previous month. According to authorities, Perdomo was removed from the United States and sent to the Dominican Republic on October 3, 2023. After his removal, he returned to the U.S. without legal permission.
