On September 4, 2025, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers conducted operations across the United States resulting in the arrest of several individuals identified as criminal illegal aliens. The arrests included people convicted of serious crimes such as murder, sexual exploitation of children, bank robbery, assault, and drug trafficking.
A spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) stated, “Yesterday, ICE arrested more WORST OF THE WORST criminal illegal aliens including an illegal alien convicted of murdering an 8-year-old. Other criminal illegal aliens arrested were convicted of distributing child pornography, bank robbery, assault, and drug trafficking,” adding, “Thanks to President Trump and Secretary Noem, these dirtbags are off American streets.”
Among those arrested was Angel Eduardo Zamora-Yanez from Mexico, who had been convicted of assault and taking a weapon from a peace officer. Vicente Lopez-Padilla from Cuba was also taken into custody; he had been convicted of homicide and the murder of an eight-year-old victim. Ahmed Ali Asiri from Saudi Arabia was arrested following his conviction for bank robbery.
Other arrests included Luis Cabrera-Cantarero from Honduras for promotion, distribution, and possession of child pornography; and Sebastian Navarrete-Oyorzabal from Mexico for possession with intent to sell or deliver heroin.
These actions are part of ongoing efforts by ICE to remove individuals with serious criminal convictions from communities in the United States.
