The America First Policy Institute (AFPI) has expressed support for President Trump's recent nominations. Greg Sindelar, the Interim President and CEO of AFPI, released statements backing Stephen Miran for the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve and E.J. Antoni for Commissioner of the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Sindelar criticized the current administration's approach to the Federal Reserve, stating, "The Federal Reserve under the Biden Administration has become increasingly more political by choosing to further a radically political ESG agenda instead of addressing the hidden inflationary tax on the American people, which is part of the Fed’s original mandate." He believes that Miran will prioritize Americans' interests and restore the Federal Reserve's core mission without political bias.
Regarding E.J. Antoni's nomination, Sindelar remarked on issues with data reliability during Biden's term: "The Bureau of Labor Statistics provided unreliable and outdated data during the Biden administration." He emphasized that Antoni would bring integrity and accountability to this agency's work. President Trump also voiced his confidence in Antoni, saying, "E.J. will ensure that the numbers released are honest and accurate."
